Billy Weill, an 8th grade student at DMS, was given the chance to go to a NASA Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama over Memorial Day week. Billy was chosen by the science teachers at Davisville Middle School because of his love for science. When Mrs. Mellor was elected National Teacher of the Year, she went to space camp and was given a scholarship to give away to a student at one of her schools. Mrs. Mellor asked the science teachers to chose a student that would deserve this trip, and Billy was chosen.
