"Sticks and Stones" was presented
by the University of Rhode Island, theater troupe, Acting Out. The play,
written for middle school students, discusses the "hot button topics"
of alcohol, marijuana, tobacco, and guns, and the negative consequences of teen
use. Making safe healthy choices is important and only YOU can control your
behavior.
The presentation was a success and the students were able to discuss the play's
messages after the performance with members of the cast or DMS counseling staff
members.
