Selecting any object and saving it to recall later.
A major time saver!
Open any one of your images
1. Using your selection tool/ your wand tool or your selection tool select any object on your desktop.
2. Zoom in to ensure that you selected the entire image if not hold down your shift key this will allow you to add to any selected item.
3. If you look closely at the windshield you will see that I also selected part of the windshield also . To correct this I will go to the Selection Palette under the select option on top and select inverse. Now hold the shift key and select around the unwanted area. This added it to the unwanted area which is the selected area until you go under select and select inverse again.
4. Now is a good time to save your selection.
a. Under select option SAVE SELECTION
b. Under new name it~ hit ok and now your selection is saved
as long as you save your document as a photoshop file.
5. Now I've decided that I want to select another area.
a. while holding the shift key Click on the area to add.
6. Adding to your saved selection
a. Load your selection now click on the Add to option and
click OK
7.Once you've saved your selection go to select and deselect you image.
8. Go to Select and load your selection, once it has been loaded select the inverse you should see that the opposite of what you originally selected is selected.
NOW LETS PLAY
9. Copy one or both of your selections and paste them upon themselves, you
will notice in your layers palette that their will be multiple copies of your
subjects.
Now try different color options, different filters and different layer effects.
Assignment: Select one of your images and do the following:
1. Convert it to a grayscale image and then convert it back to a cmyk image.
2. Select numerous items and copy and paste them into their own layer.
3.Using your color options under the adjustment palette dial in realistic color
into your image.
Create 2 images 1 realistic and 1 as wild as you can get
This same thing can be done with people or any object.
