1.
Make a new file in the RGB mode 2. Fill the first Layer in with Black 3. Using the type tool type your name in white text. 4. When you have selected the text tool you can change the color by selecting the color box in the text window . 5. Whenever you place your type it places it upon it's own layer 6. At this point you must render your text go to Layer-Render Type. this renders it as its own moveable layer. 7. Select all the text by holding down the ctrl key and clicking on the text layer. 8. Once you have made your selection save it as text one you will need it later. GO AHEAD TAKE A BREAK OK BACK TO WORK
9. At this point you will need to
flatten you image. To do this click on the small arrow in the layer palette
and click on the flatten option~this will combine these 2 layers into one. 10. After you have played deselect your
selection CTRL~D 12. Adding height to your letters. From the filter menu select stylize wind- wind from left. 13. Rotate your text to it's original
position NOW LETS GIVE COLOR 15. Now select from the image menu MODE-GREY SCALE then mode indexed then mode color table~ select black body from the table. 16. Then change your mode back to RGB. WOW! THAT'S COOL! 18. Load the text selection. At this point the image is almost finished, play with the text by using filters. EXPERIMENT.
