School Advisory Committees (SAC) are established at each school in North Kingstown to provide parents, teachers, and community members with a forum to discuss and resolve local issues and policies. Policy issues include resource allocation, curriculum improvement, facilities improvement, administrative procedures, school climate, and community relations. Each School Advisory Committee consists of seven members, including four parents of students who currently attend the school, two teachers or non-supervisory staff members, and a community member. In addition, the principal of the school attends the meetings.
