This year you will refine keyboarding skills, increase speed and develop formatting skills using the touch-keyboarding software.

Goals

Continued responsibility for techniques learned in the sixth grade plus the following:

• Proper editing techniques such as proofreading documents and following formatting instructions will be emphasized.
• Formatting memos, business and personal business letters, envelopes and short reports.
• Increase speed by 6-10 wpm by the end of the trimester, through 2, 3, and 5 minute timings.
