FEINSTEIN GOOD DEEDS PROGRAM 1999-2000

September | October | November | December | January | February | March | April | May | June

The "Good Deeds" program was created by Mr. Alan Shawn Feinstein.  Mr. Feinstein is a teacher, author, business leader and philanthropist from Cranston, Rhode Island.  He first started this program working with teachers and offering them grants for community service type projects in the classroom.
Mr. Feinstein believes that we all have the power to make a difference in the lives of others.  His motto, "the greatest achievement of all is to better the lives of others, regardless of race, color or creed," is truly reflected in the good deeds performed by the sixth graders at Wickford Middle School. Our students have helped to feed the hungry, given coats to the needy, brought smiles to faces of nursing home residents and reached out to children left fatherless by a tragic fire in a neighboring state.
