THE WRIGHT DREAM OF FLIGHT
Two brothers were born at separate
times
They grew up to write newspaper
times.
They patented a flight control
system
And made the first plane.
In 1902 their first plane flew,
But first they built a wind tunnel to find
things they never knew.
In 1912 Wilbur died from a mysterious
fever called Typhoid.
Orville went on building more models of
planes.
He lived his life in security and
peace
But later died in 1948 in
peace.

Wilbur and Orville were the first to
fly
But they didn't go very high,
On December 17, 1903
History was made for the world to
see,
One problem that stopped their
flight
Was distance and height,
The 2nd and 3rd flight didn't go very
far
It reached 175 feet but not close to a
star,
The 4th one was a very successful
flight
Because of it we can even fly at
night.

The Wright BrothersTheir interest started with sleds and with kites.
Their interest, we know of course was in flight.
A toy helicopter was a quite well liked present
To try on those days when outside it was pleasant.

With plenty of witnesses there to see
The brothers took off
But did not fly far
But they flew, they did not drive a car.
The Wright Brothers were the first to fly,
To take off into the sky.
They started some thinking
About flying like birds.
