Dear Preschool Families,
October was a busy and exciting month in preschool! The students were eager to learn about the changing seasons and took part in all the fun activities and lessons we had planned. Our Halloween Parade was a big success—everyone loved showing off their costumes, including the teachers and our “Sesame Street”–themed service providers.

Health and Safety:
It is very important that we all follow the health and safety protocols established for our program. Attached, you will find the Health and Safety guidelines from the Family Handbook, which were shared with families at the start of the school year.
Additionally, Lynda Thibeault, our School Nurse, sent out a letter on November 5, 2025, outlining the current health protocols. Her letter is also attached to this email for your reference.
Family Communication:
The Preschool program uses Google Classroom for all communication with parents which includes:
Communication between home and school,
Newsletters,
Shared activities,
Posted pictures,
Classroom and School updates.
Forms from parents and teachers will be sent virtually through Google Classroom.
Attached to this email are instructions on how to sign up for Google Classroom if you haven’t done so already.
***Please check your child’s Google Classroom daily for important dates and classroom information.**
All correspondence from Francesca Morrell, front office clerk, will have the subject line as: ELC News so that you can easily recognize that the Early Learning Center has emailed pertinent information to you.
Davisville Academy and Early Learning Center will be hosting a Food Drive throughout the months of November and December. We will be collecting non-perishable food items such as boxes of pasta or rice, canned vegetables and fruit, peanut butter, granola bars, cans of soup/broth, etc. which can be dropped off in the collection boxes located in the front office foyer.
****You may bring any donation items at arrival, and a teacher or teaching assistant will bring them into the school and place them in the donation boxes****
Families are invited to pick up food items in the gymnasium at Davisville Academy and ELC on Wednesday December 17, 2025 from 3:30–5:00 PM, or while supplies last.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
Important November Dates:
Tuesday November 11, 2025 NO SCHOOL Veterans Day Observation
Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2025 NO SCHOOL Thanksgiving
As always, it is a pleasure working with you and your children. Each day brings new opportunities for us to learn and grow together.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
