The North Kingstown School District will be honored in a special ceremony at the 19th Annual Richard W. and Ronald S. Buteau Memorial PS2025 & Gift of Art to the State of Rhode Island Exhibit, presented by the URI College of Arts and Science Art and Art Hisitory Department and The Rhode Island Alliance for Arts in Education, on May 15.
“The mixed media exhibit features more than 250 artworks by K-12 students from public and charter schools throughout the state, and the honored selection of North Kingstown Public Schools for The Gift of Art to the State of Rhode Island 2025 - adding 9 new works to the permanent collection - due to the extraordinary work in the visual and performing arts in the North Kingstown Public Schools, and their efforts to integrate the arts into the curriculum across disciplines.”
The Gallery Night Reception and Special Recognition Ceremony will take place on May 15 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Alex and Ani Hall, Rhode Island College (2nd floor lobby), 600 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. The exhibit runs from May 5 to 29. Gallery hours: Monday through Saturday, 9-5 and Gallery Night 5-8 pm.
