Chromebook Repairs
Students and parents are responsible for district-owned technology issued to them, just as they are for textbooks, athletic equipment, or library books. While the district handles all repairs and replacements, families are responsible for the associated costs.
To help protect against unexpected expenses, the district offers optional Chromebook Insurance:
Cost: $25.00 per school year (available for purchase at the beginning of each new school year).
Coverage: Covers all repair costs for the entire school year.
Theft Protection: Covers stolen devices only when accompanied by an official police report.
Exclusions: Does not cover lost devices.
Purchasing insurance significantly reduces potential financial liability for families.

Technicians visit the schools 2-3 times daily to handle repair pick-ups and drop-offs.
Our goal is to have a quick turn around on devices.
Chromebook Repair Billing
For the convenience of our families, we send invoices for repairs through Aspen and use MySchoolBucks as our payment portal.
Upon logging into MySchoolBucks, parents can review the invoice for the student who incurred the repair fees by clicking on the student's name.
Parents may also send a copy of the invoice and a check payable to North Kingstown School Dept to the Main Office of their student's School. Please make sure to write in the NOTE line the following information: Student Name, Grade, School
