Dear North Kingstown School Community, In order to safely plow our school grounds and prepare our buildings for the return of students and staff there will be no school tomorrow. All NKSD schools will be closed Tuesday, February 24, 2026. We will continue to keep you updated during this historic blizzard. At this time operations are focused on clearing the snow from roads and school properties as well as waiting for electricity to be restored to some of our schools. In the meantime stay safe! Good Evening families and staff, Due to weather conditions and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students, staff, and families, North Kingstown School Department will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27. Please note that all preschool sessions will be cancelled for Tuesday, January 27. Mrs. Finkelstein will send an updated exam schedule to all high school families. This delay will allow additional time for road conditions to improve and for our teams to ensure school facilities and transportation routes are safe for arrival. We appreciate your patience and partnership as we continue to prioritize safety. Please travel carefully and allow extra time in the morning. Thank you for your continued support.

Good Afternoon Families and staff - Due to the major snowstorm approaching our area schools will be closed on Monday, January 26. The NKSD Office of Family and Learning is collecting monetary donations to help support the North Kingstown School Department's Blessing in a Backpack Program.

Please join us on October 8th at 6:30 pm to learn more about school safety practices. A collaborative presentation will be hosted by the North Kingstown School Department, North Kingstown Police Department, and the North Kingstown Fire Department.

This presentation is for all North Kingstown school parents and guardians. It will be held in the auditorium at the North Kingstown High School.

Date regarding elementary student voluntary transfers that were approved for the 24/25 school year. The chart shows how many students were transferred out of their home schools into the requested elementary school.
