
The two art classrooms will be centrally located on the first floor. These large classrooms will overlook and have access to the interior courtyard. Display cases will prominetly showcase student work for everyone to see.


A partnership between North Kingstown High School and CCRI offers an advanced manufacturing program at CCRI which allows our high school students to earn a Manufacturing & Design Certificate.

The media center will be the school's learning hub, and will offer flexible and technology-rich learning opportunities for ALL students.


Grade levels in the new Middle School will be located on their individual floors, or “neighborhoods”. Each “neighborhood” will include classrooms, science labs, small group instruction spaces, restrooms, and common learning spaces (pictured above).


The new middle school will feature larger classroom spaces of approximately 850 square feet. These spaces will be more conducive to collaboration, flexibility, and project-based learning that is tied to 21st century learning needs.


The new Middle School will be purposefully designed to ensure that ALL students receive equal access to a diverse array of academic and extracurricular opportunities.


The new Middle School plan includes the opportunity to receive up to an additional 20% state reimbursement bonus, which potentially reduces the overall cost from $167 million to approximately $75 million. This opportunity will expire in June 2024.


The new Middle School building will feature a brand new cafeteria, capable of preparing all meals on site. The size of the cafeteria will allow each grade level to have their own lunch period.


The new middle school will feature state-of-the-art energy efficiency, which will bring greatly improved air quality for teachers and students, as well as energy cost savings for taxpayers.


The new Middle School building will feature a brand new 8,000 square foot gymnasium, capable of accommodating all students in one space. The new gym will include multi-use courts, spectator seating, and a divider for space flexibility.


The $167 million School Bond includes the construction of a new, 144,000 square foot Middle School on the Davisville/McGinn site. The facility will house 900 students in grades 6-8. Also included in the bond is approximately $37 million for additional district-wide building repairs and improvements.


The new Middle School building will feature a performing arts auditorium capable of seating 450 people. This space will provide our students with opportunities to showcase their talents and thrive as learners.


Our vision is to design facilities that support educators and students to thrive in 21st century learning environments that provide opportunities for students to not only learn from the instruction provided by their teachers, but also from the design and systems that we create within the school building.

Today was a great first day back for NK schools! Mr. Mezzanotte and Dr. Duva spent the morning visiting students and staff.











Last week we welcomed our staff back at Convocation, which focused on our commitment to supporting our staff and positive student outcomes. NK staff are excited and ready for tomorrow for the first day back with students!





Last week we focused on Core Values, School Culture, Family Engagement, and Instructional Leadership during our Administrative Retreat. Our Administrators are excited about the new school year!
